Diamond platnumz was born on 23rd October 1989 at Amana Hospital in Dare salaam, Tanzania and grew up in west of Tandale where he was living in his grandmother’s home together with his mother.
Diamond Platnumz is his stage name but his real names are Nasibu Abdul Juma
Nasibu A.K.A Diamond Platnumz attended Chakula Bora Nursery school in 1995 and later joined Tandale Magharibi primary School in 1996 after which he completed primary education in 2002.
Diamond Platnumz is believed to be one of East Africa’s highest earning  and paid artist in East Africa, highest selling artist of ringtones by phone companies, concert performance without forgetting the many the many awards he have won.
When performing in Tanzania, he charges a fee of $4000 per show but when outside his home country; he charges a fee of not less than$ 25,000 per show. For any collabo, Platnumz charges $3000 for an audio and $6000 for any video recording.
He has won many awards which includes Music awards, best male artist, best Afro Pop, best music video and best collaboration song of the year.
Another surprising thing is that he has ever worked as a casual work by selling second hand clothes, filling station attendant, and freelance photographer so as to raise money for a studio session.
He once dated a girl who dumped him just because he couldn’t provide for her and the lady called Diamond a dreamer who thought that would one day be a great musician living a better life.
The song that opened doors for Diamond in the music Industry was the ‘Nenda   Kamwambie’ which he was dedicating to his lover who left him because he had nothing.
